Melbourne CBD Walks

Urban Issues Walks are a great way to experience the Melbourne CBD from a different perspective. We will guide you through a number of spaces, in Collins Street Baptist Church and on the street, inviting observations and telling stories. You will hear about Urban Seed’s responses to issues of safety, homelessness, drug use and social exclusion. We offer Urban Issues walks for a variety of groups:

·       Schools (click here for more information)
·       Churches (click here for more information)
·       Corporate groups (by donation; please make a booking)

Norlane Walks

Norlane is a Northern suburb of Geelong that has experienced long-term challenges in recent decades due to declining local industries. We guide groups around our home in Norlane, sharing stories and experiences from the neighbourhood, while inviting fresh observations. During our walk we will focus on concepts of purpose and success, stereotyping and positive community engagement.

Mission Exposure

For a deeper experience of Urban Seed’s work, come along to a Mission Exposure week. This is a live-in experience, where you get to spend a week hanging out with the Residential communities in the Melbourne CBD, Norlane and St Albans, spending time in our local neighbourhood communities and participating in workshops on urban mission.

Note: Mission Exposure weeks are not running while Urban Seed's city based community undergoes some exciting changes throughout this year. Stay tuned for a Mission Exposure re-launch in 2018.

To get in contact for more information, email residency@urbanseed.org.

Live-in Weeks

This is a week-long opportunity to simply come and do what the Residents do! Help host meals; find out just how great sport and art can get in Melbourne, and help out at the People’s Pantry in Norlane.

Dates for Live-in Weeks are liaised individually. Contact residency@urbanseed.org for more information.
