Credo Cricket 2005

January 25, 2005

Each year Urban Seed participates in the Reclink super 8's cricket competition and the Credo cricketers are now back in action. Reclink is a not-for-profit organisation committed to assisting disadvantaged people access recreational activities.

The following is a report from team captain Brent Lyons-Lee:

The Credo Cricketers have kicked off the season with some good early form. In week one we played the Odyssey Blues and narrowly lost. We then backed up with a win over Geelong thanks to some good hitting from Darren and Marcus. The second week saw us come up against some very good opposition in the Brunswick Broncos and Neami. We narrowly lost both games due mainly to some ordinary batting performances. If it wasn’t for the great spells of opening bowlers Darren and Paul we may have lost by quite a large margin. We are back on Wednesday Feb 2 after our Australia Day break. I think we will see a more solid batting performance overall after the break led by in-form batter Samara.

If you are interested in participating (even to cheer us on) please call Brent on 9663 0699.
