Make Poverty History March
December 13, 2005
Kate and myself joined in the Make Poverty History March through the streets of Melbourne. It was fun hanging out with ex ressies Greg Hewson (TEAR Australia)and David Cook who is now working for PLAN. Also enjoyed handing out fortune cookies to corporates.... "Trade talks in Hong Kong tomorrow, have a fortune cookie!" (inside were 'Make Trade Fair type messages! very clever as it difussed the whole 'who are these ratbag protesters' vibe very well!) This was on our way to dumping some subsidised produce back at the French and British consulates with the help of donkeys from the Donkey Shelter.
