Pics from Mark Pierson's clothes line Call to Worship on the structure of the chruch year for Christ the King Sunday and also a shot from Advent 1. Mark has produced his now traditional "Advent in Art" Postcards, a pic, reading and ritual for each Advent Sunday. They are fabulous as usual.
He spoke about the first one, a Piero Della Francesca fresco from 1467 of Mary pregnant. Its one of only a few paintings of Mary pregnant to survive the efforts to wipe them out at various stages of church history. Mostly by blokes who dont get the sensual, risky, messiness of the incarnation...eh Mark! I you would like a set of the postcards feel free to ask!
