Urban Seed Edge
The Urban Seed Edge Program is a Community Participation and leadership program aimed at Year 9 Students at schools in marginalised areas. It is a three stage program involving a 10 week skill development stage, a city camp and then a student run community project.
The program requires participants to engage with each other in a meaningful way, develop some skills in leadership and a creative endeavour (such as hip-hop dance or photography) and then to come up with a project that contributes to the community in a positive way.
The Edge Program currently runs at Gilmore College for Girls in Footscray, Norlane High School in Geelong, Eaglehawk Secondary College and Crusoe College in Bendigo.
