About Urban Seed
Urban Seed is a small, community based organisation that engages faith, community and culture in order to respond to poverty in Victoria.
Urban Seed prioritises small, dynamic projects run by and for locals in ways that creatively complement and connect traditional services. Through advocacy and engagement we also seek to address the underlying causes of disadvantage. We engage with government, business, churches and local community
groups. Our Youth and Schools team also speaks to thousands of secondary
students and teachers each year through seminars and City Walks.
Urban Seed was birthed out of the Collins Street Baptist Church in the heart of the City of Melbourne and presently runs street, food, hospitality, recreation, youth development and school based programs in four priority neighbourhoods around Victoria.
Urban Seed's vision is to see communities of hope, healing and justice.
